Conditions applicable to Lajoieway transportation services

1. Purpose and Scope
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter "T&Cs") govern the contractual relationship between:

And the Customer:
Any individual or legal entity making a transportation service booking through the lajoieway.com platform.
These T&Cs apply to all passenger transportation services provided by Lajoieway in Île-de-France and beyond.
2. Service Description
Services Offered:
Lajoieway offers chauffeured transportation services (VTC), including:
- Airport transfers (CDG, Orly, Beauvais)
- Train station transfers
- On-demand trips in Île-de-France
- Trips to Disneyland Paris and theme parks
- Long-distance trips in France
- Hourly hire
Vehicles:
Services are provided in van-type vehicles: Mercedes V-Class or Mercedes Vito, configured with two face-to-face passenger benches in the rear, accommodating up to 7 passengers with luggage.
In the exceptional event of a vehicle change, Lajoieway will inform the client in advance and provide a vehicle of equivalent or superior capacity and category.
Car Seats:
Lajoieway provides free car seats adapted to children's ages:
- Baby carriers (0-12 months)
- Group 1 seats (9-18 kg)
- Booster seats with backrest (15-36 kg)
- Backless booster seats (22-36 kg)
3. Pricing and Quotes
Price Calculation:
Prices are calculated based on:
- Trip distance
- Estimated duration
- Service type (transfer, hourly hire)
- Selected options
Quote:
A detailed quote is provided before any booking. This quote indicates:
- Total price including VAT
- Pickup and destination addresses
- Service date and time
- Number of passengers and car seats
Fixed Price:
The price indicated at booking is fixed and final. It will not be modified due to:
- Traffic jams or difficult traffic conditions
- Flight or train delays (within 60 minutes of free waiting at airport/station)
Possible Additional Charges:
Additional charges may apply for:
- Destination change after departure (+20% minimum of initial price)
- Additional waiting beyond tolerance period (€15 per 15-minute period or part thereof)
- Exceptional vehicle cleaning (€50 to €150 depending on severity)
4. Booking and Payment
Booking Process:
1. Select trip and options on the platform

5. Payment or booking confirmation
Accepted Payment Methods:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe
- On-board payment (cash or credit card)
Online Payment:
Credit card payment is secured by Stripe (PCI DSS certified). Lajoieway does not store any credit card data.
Confirmation:
A booking confirmation is sent by email, including the service summary and cancellation conditions. The driver contacts the client directly by phone or WhatsApp when en route to the pickup location, to confirm their arrival and coordinate the meeting.
5. Service Execution
Pickup:
The driver arrives at the agreed address and time. For airport/station transfers:
- Welcome with name board
- 60 minutes free waiting after landing/train arrival
- Luggage handling assistance
Customer Delay:
In case of customer delay:
- 10 minutes tolerance for standard trips
- 60 minutes for airport/station transfers
- Beyond the tolerance period, waiting is charged at €15 per 15-minute period (or part thereof)
- After 30 minutes additional waiting, the trip may be cancelled and charged
Customer Obligations:
The customer agrees to:
- Be present at the agreed time and place
- Report any delay as soon as possible
- Provide accurate information (number of passengers, luggage, car seats)
- Respect the vehicle and driver
- Fasten seat belts and install children in appropriate seats
Driver Delay or No-Show:
Lajoieway is committed to ensuring driver punctuality. In the event of a delay attributable to Lajoieway:
- 10-minute tolerance for standard trips
- 15-minute tolerance for airport/station transfers
Beyond these tolerances, the customer may:
- Continue the trip with a 10% reduction on the affected journey price
- Cancel the trip and receive a full refund if the driver has not arrived within 30 minutes of the agreed time
Lajoieway shall not be liable for indirect damages resulting from a delay (missed connections, non-refundable tickets, third-party bookings, etc.). Compensation is limited to the terms defined above.
6. Cancellation and Modification

*Note: transaction fees charged by the payment processor at the time of the original payment are non-refundable, in accordance with our payment provider's terms.*
Modification:
Booking modifications (date, time, address) are possible:
- Free if made more than 24h before
- With possible supplement if made less than 24h before
- New price will be recalculated if trip parameters change
Cancellation by Lajoieway:
If unable to execute the service (force majeure, driver illness, etc.), Lajoieway commits to:
- Offer a replacement driver
- Failing that, fully refund the customer
- Inform the customer as soon as possible
7. Car Seats and Child Safety
Provision and Installation:
Lajoieway provides free car seats adapted to the child's age and weight, based on the information provided at booking. The driver installs the seat and checks its fitting before departure.
The customer must indicate when booking:
- Number of children
- Each child's age or weight
Shared Verification:
Parents or accompanying adults are invited to verify that the seat is appropriate for their child and that the child is correctly installed and secured before the vehicle departs. The driver is available for any adjustment.
The driver may refuse transport if child safety cannot be ensured.
Limitation of Liability:
Lajoieway's responsibility covers the installation of the seat and its compliance with ECE R44/04 or i-Size (R129) standards. It does not cover incorrect use after departure, or inaccurate information about the child's age or weight provided at booking.
8. Liability
Lajoieway's Liability:
Lajoieway is responsible for:
- Proper execution of transport
- Passenger safety during the trip
- Bodily injury caused to passengers during transport
Lajoieway has professional liability insurance covering passengers.
Limitation of Liability:
Lajoieway cannot be held liable for:
- Delays due to circumstances beyond its control (exceptional traffic, accidents, weather, etc.)
- Items left in the vehicle (though we endeavor to return them)
- Indirect damages or intangible losses
Claims:
To allow efficient processing, we invite you to report any incident within 7 days of the service to contact@lajoieway.com. Beyond this period, the availability of necessary elements (trip data, driver availability, etc.) can no longer be guaranteed. Your legal rights remain intact in accordance with applicable law.
9. Applicable Law and Disputes
Applicable Law:
These T&Cs are governed by French law.
Mediation:
In accordance with Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code, in case of unresolved dispute, the customer may use the following free mediation service:

Competent Court:
Failing amicable resolution, any dispute will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts within the Paris Court of Appeal.
Right of Withdrawal:
In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for passenger transport services when the contract provides for a specific date or period of execution.
